Contemplative abstractions built from texture, impulse, and surface.
View Works →Hriday Sakaria, known as Day, is a Houston-based artist working across painting, collage, and installation. His practice is grounded in texture: surfaces built through layers of impasto, torn paper, and raw material that carry the trace of every decision made.
The work moves between abstraction and commentary. Some pieces are purely sensory. Others carry weight: Fragments of a Spaced Dream explores division and renewal; Marks of the Blizzard retreats into quiet. The contrast is intentional.
Days Art Gallery is the ongoing record of that practice.
